Institut Aurora is a candidate school for the IB MYP which comprises of Grades 6-10. All of our teachers are certified by the International Baccalaureate to teach the following courses:
As we progress on our journey towards authorization, our goal is to assist our students to become aligned with the IB learner profile. Each course is carefully tailored to create knowledgeable, dynamic learners who are prepared to tackle any issue confidently and to become citizens of the world. Our students are guaranteed to become creative, critical and reflective. We offer a hands-on approach towards learning where students not only acquire knowledge, but they gain wisdom that can be applied towards their journey in life. Institut Aurora encourages international-mindedness where students learn to appreciate not only their own culture and histories but those of others as well.
In the MYP curriculum, our students explore global challenges that impact our world and study how to solve them as they learn to think open-mindedly and in a balanced manner. They understand and apply the material to the real world instead of just focusing on memorization. Each student studies how to organize and plan their work, meet the deadlines, concentrate efficiently, think profoundly, bounce back from setbacks and to be positive. Our MYP curriculum is aimed to prepare the students for the Diploma Programme which is a lot more rigorous and requires a solid foundation for the students.
To know more about the MYP, then please contact Mr. Philip Van Der Biest (Principal) or Ms. Shikha Aurora (MYP Coordinator).
