School Principal

Dear Institut Aurora Parents and Community,

As Principal of Institut Aurora it is my pleasure to welcome everybody for another great year. I am honoured to serve as Principal and I consider it truly a privilege to be part of this dynamic school community where parents, teachers and students care for each other and strive to construct positive relationships that support academic and personal growth.

Every day is a joy to see a cold empty building turn into a dynamic environment where hallways and classes fill up with positive energy and enthusiasm for learning. An environment where we can see innocent toddlers turn into teenagers and teenagers turn into young responsible adults prepared for postsecondary education, meaningful careers and effective citizenship.

We strive to create an environment where students of different nationalities and beliefs live in harmony, exchange ideas and experiences, learn from each other and discover new cultures. A place that inspires teachers and thus allowing them to pass on their passion and where parents feel understood and maintain a creative relationship with the school.

We hope that you will find our website helpful and informative. We invite you to visit our facebook page for more information about our past school events and activities. Please feel free to contact me at +243906401433 or at info@institutaurora.com

Thank you for being part of a community where we help children’s dreams to become reality.

Sincerely,

Mr. Philip Van der Biest

Principal

History

Institut Aurora was founded in 2012 by Mrs. Jayshree Aurora as a French school. The goal was to create a school that was cost-effective with quality education. Mrs. Aurora’s dream was to establish an institution of education where children were happy and could feel inspired to pursue their dreams and goals. Mrs. Aurora believes that the future is in the hands of our children and it’s important to foster an environment of diligence, compassion and love for education. In 2015, Mrs. Aurora decided to create the English section of Institut Aurora. She started off with a nursery, Kindergarten and first grade that had thirty students whose parents supported her mission. With time, hard work and patience, the English section grew to four hundred students within the span of six years.
